School - one-to-one, familiar and individual
The Institute Atahualpa is located in the heart of modern Quito, close to the main shopping area Amazonas. Quito's most important shops, travel agencies and restaurants can be found there. Because of its central location, the school can easily be reached by bus.
The school itself offers a pleasant and familiar atmosphere. It is a small school where the student is at the centre of attention. Therefore, the individual expectations of each student can be met. We work exclusively together with teachers having a minimum experience of five years in teaching Spanish and an university degree.
Our courses are suitable for beginners and advanced students and it is possible to begin at any level.
We also prepare students for the well-known Spanish certificates like "Diploma de español como lengua extranjera" (D.E.L.E.) issued by the University of Salamanca, the Inicial (C.I.E.), the Básico (D.B.E.) or the Superior diploma (D.S.E.).
Our courses contain one-to-one lessons (one student - one teacher). Our teaching experience shows, that this is the best way to learn a foreign language. Therefore, it is possible for students to choose their individual number of weekly lessons, the rate and the subject they want to be taught. Teachers change every week. Lessons are structured in various ways. Besides the compulsory grammar lecture, emphasis is placed on pronounciation, conversation and vocabulary as well as on Latin-American culture.
Vocabulary learned can be used immediately when talking with native speakers. In this way it is possible not only to build up an every day vocabulary, but also to add vocabulary specific to particular areas like economics or politics. Official Diploma When you have completed your course, you will receive not only a certificate, but also an official diploma from the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and Culture.
